Dark Child The Awakening Omnibus Edition Dark child omnibus edition Book 1 eBook Adina West

I should have paid more attention to what I was buying also but the title was cut off on the link when I chose to go to the book. When I read Omnibus I'm thinking it's ALL the books together. This is book 1. That's it. There's more books to keep reading. I've gotten tired of the very long series books where you have to wait year after year. I end up having to reread the previous ones to remember what happened. So now I'm trying to find completed books or something that I thought was an Omnibus as I saw it. I know there are different Episodes which I think could be good for some people as they get the updates faster instead of waiting for a new novel.

The book itself now. I chose the 3 stars of "it's ok" because that what I thought. The books that get four and five stars are the ones that make me want to buy the next book before I've even finished the one I was reading. This one had my attention and I followed it along its plot line. At the end though I was intrigued enough that I might try and find it at the library and see if it's worth getting as a second omnibus. But for now I'm off to another book/series perhaps to return at some future date. Books are like emotions, sometimes they speak to some and not to others.

Dark Child The Awakening Omnibus Edition Dark child omnibus edition Book 1 eBook Adina West Reviews

Show start...rolling faster and faster until the end...alot more to come. A great book for the adventurer. Other worldly and mystical..
Wow! Adventure, good guys, bad guys, love, new family bonds. Can't wait to start the next book to see what's in store.
I liked this novel overall. It's well above average for this genre on characterization, plotting and style of writing and it's not offensive (unlike some in this genre) so you could give it to someone as a present. You can also get print copies now. I'd say read Part 1 for free and if you enjoy it, buy the whole book. It will cost more if you read it Part by Part and it's irritating to have to read a book that way. The novel reads better as a whole book than in separate parts purchased a month apart. Liz
This series must be read in order. This is the omnibus edition of the first serial book containing all five episodes in their entirety.

Kat has always known she was different. Different from her half brothers... Different from her mother... And different from anyone she has ever met. Maybe she is like her mysterious father. She still feels the guilt of his leaving even though he had no cause to even know she existed. The only bright spot in her life is the wolf that befriended her ages ago (she tells herself he is a pet... Some domestic wolfish breed... No REAL wolf would come that close to civilization right?) He makes the differences she has to hide almost bearable. Being able to run like crazy and not even breathe hard caused her no end of trouble in school... Not to mention her literal nose for blood. But things are getting stranger yet... Always healthy she has no clue why she's been feeling so off lately ... And just today she fainted... Wonder why?

This is a fast paced paranormal serial where one episode blends seamlessly into the next so well you will be disappointed greatly if you have to wait for the next episode! Book one is definitely an amazing fish out of water coming of age story fraught with confusion and missteps that keep you guessing what will happen next! I really loved it and can't wait to read the first episode of the new serial novel Dark Child (Covens Rising) Episode 1 to find out what happens next!!!

***This serial book series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers
THIS is an amazing story. The characters are wonderfully written. I felt the roller coaster ride of their emotions by a very gifted author, ADINA WEST'S, words!

Truthfully I expected the usual serial cliff hanger that I would have to delete. I was wonderfully surprised and happy to find not only a book that is a KEEPER but an author I will be spending my book budget on more often.

I will buy the second omnibus when I have money in my book budget

I enjoyed this book very much .... But! I do have a few improvement complains.
Let me start by what I thought was great I love how the story had a fresh view that has not been seen too often and moved at a fast pace. I also love how she tied the existent supernatural world with Kat current world. I also enjoy how even though it was not extremely in your face all the time, but it did have a romance story line. (I love that it did not go more in-depth since it was not the right time in her life for a serious romance.)
Now what I think needs some improvement A back story to the characters and I stronger Kat. I was able to finally see her coming out of her shell towards the end. She was lacking all the control throw-out the whole book.
I am definitely waiting for the continuance of the story... I can only hope that in the future books we can find out more about the other characters and who The Vodas is.
This is a Gothic novel in every sense. Pleasant frisson of terror, quasi-medieval castle with no electricity, romanticism, melodrama - you can check off every required element. Like another famous Gothic novel, this one also features vampires and romance. This particular vampire romance includes the dhampir (vampire-fathered child) and vampire-were-animals. The dialogue is well-written and the plot is coherent.

The author had several elements of well-planned world-building. Ever wondered why were-animals are always something big and fierce and never something small and cuddly? How is it that normal people never have vampires as next-door neighbors? This book addresses those topics.

If you enjoy melodramas like Bram Stoker's Dracula you may well enjoy this book. If melodrama leaves you cold, you probably won't.
